The Arkenstat Songwriting Contest is OVER! Winners Below!
On behalf of Joey Arkenstat and TeamArk, we'd like to congratulate the following winners of our 2003-2004 Songwriting Contest... As mentioned in the orginial book of rules and regulations, Joey had the ultimate say in which song he'd like to record.
The song, entitled "Sink In Sand," was recorded by Joey (lyrics by Anastasia Jones and Joey, music by Joey). It can be heard by clicking here and using your ears.
Your ear flap, the outside part that we know as the ear, catches sounds like a cup. Then sound travels down the ear canal to the eardrum. The eardrum is like a tiny drum, When the sound hits the eardrum it vibrates. Enjoy!
The actual voting booth took in over 63,000 votes, and amazingly there was a tie amongst the first place winners. Congratulations to the following songwriters..
FIRST PLACE
Funky Bi-atch
By Jaime Isobe & Joey Arkenstat
Funky bitches always brought me fright
Cause their game follows a falsifying fight
I don’t care cause my heads on tight and
my feet know how to do me right
But it’s just time to fall and love to waste
Makes it all fine to have loved in haste
(Joe's lyrics are in BOLD print)

FIRST PLACE
Do My Bacon
By Dustin Peckham & Joey Arkenstat
We hopped on the line about the same time
Your amber eyes looked into mine
But us on grill side, we can’t look soft
I asked for the check and you gave me a look
I say she’s some sexy big rock
Do my bacon baby
(Joe's lyrics are in BOLD print)
